Meet Tyler

Owner + Wildlife Removal Specialist

Tyler is a local Pickerington resident, married, with a 15-year-old son who you might see from time to time helping him check traps. Tyler has been trapping nuisance wildlife as a hobby since before he became a police officer. He took an early retirement from law enforcement to step into the corporate world to become a risk manager handling personal injury investigations for a large corporation. Tyler has a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice (do not tell the raccoons please) He is a 20 year police veteran and taught college at Tiffin University for many years. He has decided to pursue a fun hobby turning it into a small part time business. You will be getting a specialty, boutique type service, not a large company with tons of overhead. Tyler has always been the “go to guy” for friends and neighbors when there is a problem with wildlife in or around their homes. This encouragement helped steer him to the next level of starting a business in nuisance wildlife trapping in Pickerington and surrounding communities. 614Wildlife was born out of his fluency and solid understanding of wildlife behaviors with many years of experience working to remove crop-damaging wildlife for farmers while training Jack Russell Terriers and their owners. As a Working Judge for the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America Tyler would allow terrier owners fly in from all over the U.S and Canada so they could go with him allowing him to judge and train the terriers.

Raccoons, squirrels, opossum, skunk and woodchuck/groundhogs, fox and coyote are Tyler’s specialty and he has handled hundreds of these nuisance animals either in the ground or while trapping them. Bats are also a major nuisance and Tyler has experience with removal and remediation of bats in Ohio.

Exclusion and remediation are key to success. Tyler will remove the animals for you and explain the plan to remediate the issue. Just removing the problem animals will not solve the problem. Other animals will smell the presence of the prior animals and will generally find the open access. Tyler quotes the animal removal and repairs and remediation separate in the event you have family or friends that can do the repairs.

Humane treatment of the animals is something Tyler takes pride in. Since we are removing the animals from their homes, he takes into consideration not to allow the animals to suffer or remain exposed when caught in the trap. They are quickly removed. He will tell you if there is a risk of babies being left behind and if that is the case, the plan of attack will be adjusted so as not to leave babies behind.

Tyler is a lifelong woodsman and knows what to look for when he gives you a free estimate. Keep in mind the longer you wait to call the more damage you will be facing for repairs.

Remember Tyler is also proficient at drywall and repairs. These animals can cause significant damage and some of their feces is harmful to your health and should not be taken lightly. Tyler will wear the proper safety equipment for the job during removal and clean up. If the drywall needs to be removed and replaced due to damage Tyler can do that so there will not be a need for an additional contractor in most cases.
